Local backcountry pilot, Kevin Quinn, will join us on October 1st 7pm to share some of his backcountry adventures, discuss backcountry flying and the upcoming High Sierra Fly Out event.

This is not the actual plane, but you get the idea.

Take a few laps around the pattern at KTRK with an instructor and get a chance to socialize with other members.

This event is currently planned for the same Saturday as the next EAA Pancake Breakfast (which starts at 8am) and is a chance for our lapsed members to get back into the air.

Plane rental fees will be split evenly among attending members and we will be renting Kevin Sloane's C182.

We have reached two major milestones this last month.

First and foremost we have incorporated, adopted by laws and elected our board of directors. With this we are off and running. However there are many other decisions and issues to work through. So I encourage full participation from all interested parties. Please plan to attend the next meeting, Wednesday November 6, 2013, 7pm, at the Tahoe Truckee Airport.

Secondly, we have been officially recognized by the Truckee Tahoe Airport District Board. With this we can now realize our collective vision of this club.

I congratulate all of you who have worked towards this goal. Also, I sincerely thank all of our founders, interested parties, Truckee EEA, Sierra Aero, airport mamgement and the airport district for their input and support.

Now the fun and work begin!
